Debut Author of the Year 2017
November 25, 2017 by seansbookreviews,
"I have been thinking about this and wanted to make it special and away from my top reads of the year.
So in November of each year I plan to do my debut author of the year. This is the first year and this author deserves amazing success in the writing.
The book is based in a small town USA and has some wonderful characters as well as an amazing and entrancing story.
Many of my readers will know I read a lot of UK crime and thrillers so finding one outside of Europe that captivated me that I kept thinking of the book and still do.
This author is published by the wonderful people at #Bookouture and I want to thank them for allowing me the chance to read this wonderful book as well as to be part of the blog tour for the debut book.
The winner of the first Debut Author award I want to congratulate D.K. Hood. She made me keep thinking of her debut novel Don’t Tell a Soul
I highly recommend her novel as it’s one of the best books I had the privaledge to read.
I was lucky enough to get to interview her as well see the link below to find my interview https://wp.me/p5F9FP-jj
And here is my review for this wonderful book.
My Review
This is one of the best books I have read this year. The dynamics of the sheriff and deputies is very different then what one would expect.
Jenna Alton is the sheriff of this small town where nothing ever happens or so you are made to believe. That’s not the case and Jenna is run off the road. Her new Deputy David Kane is on his way into town and his very first thing he sees is a lady in distress.
The two meet with fireworks flaring up from the start. It is fast paced and you really get to see just what these characters are all about.
Seeing this novel is part one of a series of novels based in small town USA it seems plausible that there is more than meets the eye in this small town.
The author definitely has managed to get the close knit relationships of small town anywhere down to a science. It was sadness when this book ended as the story was amazing and had everything that I ask for in a book.
This action packed book was simply one of the best books I have had the privaledge to read this year.
Definitely 6 stars out of 5 from me."Link: https://seansbookreviews.com/2017/11/25/debut-author-of-the-year-2017/
